One of the most significant additions to Embers of Neltharion is the addition of a new playable zone, the Zaralek Caves. There is a vast underground network of volcanic caverns that is home to many unique creatures, including a new faction made up of Niffins, a naked mole-like creature with a keen eye for treasure that inhabits this expansive underground network of volcanic caverns. As you explore the treacherous depths of the Zaralek Caves, you will come across the Niffins living in the quaint village of Loamm who will serve as allies for you as you navigate the dangerous terrain.
Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible, one of the new raids included in patch 10.1, will also be available. There are still remnants of Neltharian the Earth-Warder’s sinister experiments in the halls of Aberrus, the former laboratory where Neltharian the Earth-Warder, better known as Deathwing, carried out his most sinister experiments, but they are the last remains of the fallen Black Dragon Aspect’s legacy.
The players of Embers of Neltharion need to venture into Aberrus in order to complete Neltharion’s campaign, as it requires them to fight against the ancient enemies of the dragon flights, the Primal Incarnates, before the powerful magic they are guarding falls into their grasp.
