Disney+ plans to launch a Stan Lee documentary in 2023, according to a 25-second video tweeted by Marvel Entertainment.
That’s right, yes, you read it correctly! Through Disney Plus, the ‘Stan Lee documentary’ will be brought to life in 2023.
An announcement was made on Wednesday by Marvel Entertainment that a Stan Lee documentary will debut on Disney+ in 2023 in the form of a 25-second video. The news coincides with the 100th birthday of the late comic creator.
In a caption accompanied by a teaser trailer, Marvel Entertainment wrote, “100 years of dreaming, 100 years of creating, 100 years of Stan Lee.” According to the caption, “Stan Lee, an original documentary, will be streaming on @DisneyPlus in 2023.”
It has recently released a video that shows a few of Stan Lee’s minor roles and guest appearances in cinema that he made during his career. There is a zoom-out that gradually shows an image of the multi-talented inventor at the end of the lively montage.

As a writer-artist, Lee is renowned for developing adored characters such as Spider-Man, the Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, the Avengers, and many more, as well as working with other writer-artists such as Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko.
Despite leaving Marvel in the 1990s, Lee maintained a strong relationship with the company by serving as an executive producer on Marvel-produced films and appearing in a few cameo roles in those films.
It was announced earlier this month that Genius Brands International launched a new online store showcasing three limited-edition Lee-branded collections to commemorate Lee’s 100th birthday.

As part of the agreement, the entertainment firm has agreed to co-executive produce the documentary about Stan Lee. Lee’s name, voice, likeness, signature, and any other intellectual property that can be associated with him are owned by the company.
