Sony has announced the date of release and price of the upcoming PS VR2 headset for the PlayStation 5 console.
- Sony PS VR2 will launch in February of next year.
- This VR headset will include three major features that are not present in the current PS VR headset.
- Pre-orders for PlayStation VR2 are now open. PS VR2 will begin later this month.

PlayStation’s PS VR2 will release on February 22, 2023. It’s the same day the company announced its concept earlier this year.

The headset will retail for 550 dollars in the US. The prices for the UK, Europe, and Japan will be PS530, EUR600, and Y=74.980, respectively.
There is no information on the India price or release date. The PS VR’s original PS VR retails for under 40 thousand rupees, which could indicate the fact that the Indian price isn’t going to be expensive, especially when you consider the US cost for the PlayStation VR 2 i.e. $550 (which is about 45,500 rupees). Alongside the PS VR2 and charging station, the controllers it’ll come with will be priced at $50 (roughly around Rs 4,100). Additionally, there will be a Horizon Call of Mountain bundle priced at $600 (approximately Rs 49,700).

Sony PS VR2 will be Sony’s next-generation VR headset that offers many improvements over the previous PS VR. The most recent version of VR will feature a higher resolution, more expansive field of view, and headset support. It will also include the USB Type-C port like the current standard.

In addition, it will include a custom play area feature in which you can define an area for play using the cameras in the VR headset. When playing games, if you get further than the area you have set the headset will inform you an alert that you’re close to the edge. This is great for those who live in small spaces.
The headset will also come with the Broadcast Yourself feature that lets users play PS games directly on Twitch and YouTube. To do this to work, the PS5 HD camera is required.
