Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 Release Date Update:- Earlier than expected, Samsung is predicted to launch its Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 in the next few months
In recent reports, there has been speculation that Samsung will be using a new hinge design for its upcoming Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5.
The launch timeline of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 has been leaked on the internet. A new generation of foldable phones is expected to be launched by Samsung in the second half of the year. There is a possibility that Samsung will launch the Galaxy Fold 5 and Flip 5 models much earlier than expected. In August of last year, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 were launched. There is a possibility that Samsung will launch its Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 even before the end of July this year.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 Release Date Update
There was no mention of the exact launch date of Samsung’s foldable phones in the report by IT Home. According to the report, Samsung will begin mass-producing the hinges for its upcoming foldable phones in the first week of June. By contrast, the hinges for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 went into mass production at the end of June.
There is a possibility that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 could launch earlier than expected because the hinges for the foldable phones are going into mass production earlier than expected. According to the report, both foldable phones will be shown off at Unpacked 2023 by the end of July.
Galaxy Z Fold 5 Design
In the upcoming Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 smartphones, Samsung is rumored to be using a new hinge design that will make the smartphone more user-friendly. Several foldable phones have been fitted with U-shaped hinges that have been used in the past, but both will be getting water-drop hinges to replace the existing U-shaped hinges.
Due to the new hinge design, there may be less of a gap between the panels when the panels are folded as a result of the new hinge design. A similar hinge design can be seen in both the Find N2 and the Find N2 Flip which are both manufactured by OPPO.

Galaxy Z Fold 5 RAM
There have been several other leaks of information about Samsung’s upcoming foldable phones in the past. According to a Geekbench listing for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 US models, both of these models will be powered by Qualcomm’s custom-developed Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. As far as RAM is concerned, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to have up to 12GB of RAM, whereas the Flip 5 will have up to 8GB of RAM.
There will be Android 13 pre-installed on both phones out of the box. In addition to One UI 5, they will also have the latest version of the app.
Galaxy Z Fold 5 Specifications
Currently, it is believed that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will feature a 7.6-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, displaying a 2K resolution. There will be a hole punched cut out at the top center of the cover display, which will keep its size at 6.2 inches. This new phone will feature a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10 MP telephoto camera.
This foldable phone will probably have a front camera that has a resolution of ten megapixels for taking selfies. It is expected that the Z Fold 5 will have an IPX8 rating for its water resistance. As well as the 4400mAh battery, it is said to provide 45W fast charging support and 15W wireless charging. According to reports, there will also be a slot for the S Pen in the device.
There will be some major changes to the design of the Z Flip 5. The device is expected to have a huge 3.4-inch cover display, along with a dual-camera setup at the top of it. An ultra-wide camera of 12MP and a clamshell-style camera of 12MP will be featured on the foldable phone clamshell style.

Galaxy Z Fold 5 Display
In terms of display, the device will feature a 6.7-inch foldable AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a Full HD+ resolution. At the moment, there is no information available about the battery capacity of Flip 5.
The Z Fold 5 will be available in Beige, Black, and Light Blue color options, whereas the Flip 5 will be available in Beige, Grey, Light Green, and Light Pink color options, according to a recent leak.
