RuPaul Drag Race Season 15 release date:- In a sense, it’s that time of year again, but RuPaul’s Drag Race rolls out new seasons with such frequency that it has practically become a year-round experience at this point. As a result, another year of RuPaul’s Drag Race is indeed upon us, this time with the milestone 15th season of the show.
RuPaul’s Drag Race has grown to such an extent that there has now been a need for distinctions to be made between its U.S. shows and its international spin-offs in order to maintain its enormous popularity.
The reality competition has expanded to encompass over three U.S. spin-offs and ten international spin-offs that are being shown in just as many countries as RuPaul’s Drag Race, so it is not an exaggeration to say that drag queens in general, and RuPaul’s Drag Race in particular, have taken over the world.
Don’t just take our word for it – take a look at Shea Coulee, who became the first drag queen to make it into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Shangela, who became the first drag queen to compete on Dancing with the Stars. Furthermore, if that wasn’t enough, the show has won the Emmy for Outstanding Competition Program four times. RuPaul himself has won 12 Emmys to his credit as well, but we digress.
The 14th season of RuPaul’s Drag Race aired back in January 2022, and Willow Pill won the title of America’s Next Drag Superstar back in April of that year. Since then, Jinkx Monsoon, the season five winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 7, has returned once again to claim the crown in the all-winners season of the show.
The time has come for us to bring the Ru-girls back with a brand-new squad of eager and excited girls. Although the official cast list has not been announced yet, we do know the official release date and how to tune in now that the show has changed as well as how to access the show.

RuPaul Drag Race season 15 release date
As of January 6, 2023, RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15 will officially premiere in the United States.
There is no doubt that, given drag queens’ innate political nature, it is no accident that the show chose to premiere its milestone season on the second anniversary of the attack on the United States Capitol on Jan. 6, 2009. It has not been confirmed or corroborated by RuPaul or World of Wonder, but judging by the tone of the story, it is not hard to read between the lines.
Season 15’s significance is doubled by the fact that it will be the reality show’s 200th episode, which makes it even more of a milestone. In the season’s announcement, MTV dubbed it the show’s “biggest” season yet, which is not saying much since every new season is bigger and better than the one before, and we fall head over heels for it year after year.
The show last season incorporated the infamous chocolate bar as a means of saving any queen who had the gold bar in their possession at the time. Viewers were not only displeased with the decision and felt it was anticlimactic but also hindered the season more than it helped – Bosco having the golden chocolate bar felt like the most scripted and stagy thing the series has ever done. Hopefully, season 15 will find a way to be fresh and new in a way that makes it stand out.
Where can I watch RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15?
VH1 is going away. In the coming weeks, a new season of RuPaul’s Drag Race will premiere on MTV, demonstrating just how far the show has come since its inception on the queer network Logo back in 2009.
On MTV, viewers can watch RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15 as soon as it airs, or they can stream it afterward by signing in with their cable provider on MTV’s website after it airs.
Here’s where things start to get a little confusing, so please stay with me. It should be noted that MTV and VH1 are both parts of ViacomCBS, which has now been renamed Paramount Global. While Paramount’s streaming platform Paramount Plus offers a variety of shows from MTV and VH1, not all seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race are available on Paramount Plus, and only the All Stars seasons five, six, and seven have been aired directly on the platform.
As of the time of writing, only seasons one through twelve of the regular season, as well as all seasons of the All-Stars, are available on Paramount Plus. It has not been confirmed whether or not season 15 of RuPaul’s Drag Race will be available to stream on Paramount Plus at this time. As soon as the announcement is made, we will let you know.
