The Japanese Netflix Original series, From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke, is an upcoming romantic drama adapted from the manga Kimi ni Todoke by Karuho Shiina that will premiere on Netflix in 2019. Adapting the manga into a live-action series is screenwriter Miyamoto Hayato.
The directing duties have been split between Shinjo Takehiko (Love Again) and Kikuchi Takeo (Kamen Dosokai).
Several producers are involved in the creation of the series, including Taku Matsumoto of TV Tokyo, Masayuki Morikawa of FINE Entertainment, and Yuki Seike of FINE Entertainment.

Despite her resemblance to the character from The Ring, 15-year-old Sawako Kuronuma has always been feared and misunderstood by her classmates due to her appearance; rumors around the school report that she can see ghosts and curse people due to her ability to see ghosts. However, despite her ominous appearance, she is a sweet and unassuming girl who only wants to be helpful; she has become so used to being shunned for so long that the idea of making friends has become foreign to her.
Everything changes when a popular boy, Kazehaya, begins talking with her, and everything changes for the better. Having found herself in a new world where she can make new friends and speak to different people, she can not thank Kazehaya enough for giving her this opportunity to explore a new world. Slowly, but surely, a sweet love blossoms between the two of them as they overcome the obstacles and circumstances that stand in their way as they work together to overcome the tragedies.

How many members of the cast are there in From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke?
As the lead role of Sawako Kuronuma, Minami Sara will play the role of Minami Sara. After previously starring in the 2021 Japanese drama Ride or Die in a supporting role as the young Nagasawa Rei, she will be taking on the lead role in the first Netflix Original series for the actress.
Aside from Netflix, she has also starred in several Japanese dramas, including Sayonara no Sono Mae ni Fantastic 31 Days and Rokujoma no Piano Man.
The lead role of Kazehaya Shouta will be played by Suzuka Ouji. Even though the actor has yet to make his Netflix debut, he is known for his role as Miyamura Izumi in the live-action adaptation of the popular manga Hiromiya.
