An upcoming Hindi-language period comedy film directed by Rohit Shetty, Cirkus movie is slated for release in 2022. The movie is being jointly produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez, Reliance Entertainment, and T-Series.
A dual role is played by Ranveer Singh in the film along with Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Varun Sharma. There are also special appearances by Deepika Padukone and Ajay Devgn in the movie. Devi Sri Prasad is the composer of the music in this film.

This film is a remake of the 1968 Hindi film Do Dooni Chaar, which was itself a remake of the 1982 Hindi film Angoor, which was in itself a remake of the 1968 Hindi film Do Dooni Chaar, which in turn was a remake of the 1963 Bengali film Bhranti Bilas.

This film was also derived from Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar’s 1869 play The Comedy of Errors adapted from Shakespeare’s Shakespeare’s play The Comedy of Errors.

Filming for the movie began in November 2020 in Mumbai and also took place in Ooty during the principal photography process.
