Akhil Akkineni Agent OTT Release Date:- Within the next 21 days, the Agent will be available on OTT services.
The box office performance of Akhil Akkineni’s Agent, which was released last week, was tragic, to say the least. There is no doubt that the film is a disaster right from the start, and the film will be pulled from the theaters within a week of its release date.
It was well reported last year that there is tumult in Tollywood due to the rapid release of films on the off-the-shelf within a short period of their theatrical release, and this is causing the box office revenues to plummet. In response to this practice, there were even strikes in order to protest it.

According to the rule, all Telugu films will have to wait at least four weeks for small-budget films and eight weeks for big star-studded films before they are released on OTT channels after their theatrical release from the date of their theatrical release.

Such poor performance at the box office has made the film all set to stream on OTT within 21 days on SonyLiv starting on May 19 as a result of its poor box office results. There are a lot of films these days that are opting for a late release on OTT instead of a delayed release due to their underwhelming box office performance.
Ravanasura, Ravi Teja’s upcoming movie, is another example of a film that made its OTT debut within only three weeks of its release date.

There is also a rule stating that no names of OTT/digital/satellite partners should be mentioned before the start of any film in a theater that is being screened. As part of their demands, the theater owners also asked that the name of the OTT partner should not appear on any promotional material for the film.
There is now a plan for the films to be released on Netflix in 2-3 weeks’ time, and no one seems to be opposed to it at the moment, including the theater owners and exhibitors.
