An AMD chip architect who previously worked for Intel and AMD said that AMD’s Zen 5 platform might be up to 30% faster than Zen 4 in terms of performance.

Currently Keller works as the CEO of Tenstorrent, a company that uses processors in order to develop artificial intelligence (AI) for machine learning. The man behind Intel’s Arc GPU lineup, Raja Koduri, has also recently joined Tenstorrent as part of the company’s executive team.
The company, however, has produced a slide that proves to be eye-catching, and which appears to give us some insight into the performance of AMD’s Zen 5 CPUs, as first reported by Videocardz.
The first benchmarks of AMD Zen 5 CPUs show that they are blazing ahead
On the Zen 5 platform, you can observe a 30% increase in speed when compared to the Zen 4 platform, which has been referred to as “Genoa” on this list. In terms of how Keller managed this, it is unclear how he was able to get these brand-new CPUs to demonstrate performance, but it is likely to be a very early sample.
AMD’s Zen 5 CPUs Release Date
Currently, Zen 5 is scheduled to release in 2024, and we can’t wait to see how much performance gains we might see from the brand-new gaming processors once they hit the market.
