Here’s everything you need to know about the release date and broadcast format for Attack on Titan season 4 part 3 as confirmed by the series’ official website; here’s everything that fans need to know about the release date and broadcast format.
THE ATTACK ON TITAN SEASON 4 PART 3 RELEASE DATE DETAILS
A few hours before the Japanese part 2 finale aired in April 2022, it was revealed that Attack on Titan would return for season 4 part 3 in 2023, just a few hours just before the Japanese finale aired.
A new teaser trailer for Attack on Titan season 4 part 3 was shared to the Pony Canyon Anime YouTube channel on January 17, 2023, which confirmed a March 3, 2023 release date.
In addition, season 4 part 3 will be split into two parts by itself, with the first part of season 4 part 3 to be broadcast in March, and the final part of the season to be broadcast before the end of 2023.
A special illustration for season 4 part 3 of Attack on Titan, see the end of the next section, was shared on Twitter by Attack on Titan sound director Masafumi Mima earlier this week, with the caption ‘The World is Cruel.’
THE RUN TIME FOR ATTACK ON TITAN SEASON 4 PART 3 IS EXPECTED TO BE LESS THAN IN THE LAST PART
Even though the global Attack on Titan community is already counting down the days until the series returns to the airwaves, many are aware that season 4 part 3 of the series could be significantly shorter than part 1 or 2.
Because there aren’t enough manga chapters for another 12-episode run, let alone a two-part final broadcast, there isn’t enough material to make a completely strict adaptation.
Throughout season 4, MAPPA has made it a habit to adapt between one and two chapters from the original manga throughout the season. Part one of the series consisted of 16 episodes, adapted from chapters 91 “The Other Side of the Ocean” to chapter 116 “Above and Below.” Part two, consisting of 12 episodes, adapted from chapter 117 “Judgement” to chapter 130 “The Dawn of Humanity.”

While there is a possibility that MAPPA could fill in some filler content and extend some sequences to meet the 12-episode run of the show, the studio has been extremely strict with the way they have adapted Isayama’s original manga.
I think it is more realistic to expect that Attack on Titan will have nine total episodes in season 4 part 3 and that the series finale will have a special extended duration.
